Apple and Salesforce have announced a significant new strategic partnership which could transform the way some companies do business.
The companies have teamed up to supply more powerful workplace apps supported iOS and Salesforce, boosting the offering from both firms.
In return, Salesforce is redesigning its mobile platform to permit “exclusive” iOS features like Siri and FaceID to be built directly in to its apps.

“Together, Salesforce and Apple are defining a brand new era of mobile innovation with native apps on iOS, and empowering numerous people with access to Trailhead and therefore the skills they have for the roles of the longer term .”

The tie-up could provide Siri to produce information on the sales potential of subsequent meeting, and also offer an additional level of security using Apple’s biometric facial scans.

Salesforce is additionally launching the first-ever version of its Trailhead online learning mobile application on iOS platform, allowing much smoother integration with Apple iPhone and iPad devices. The corporate also will also release the primary Salesforce Mobile SDK optimized for Apple’s Swift program, allowing third-party developers to make new offerings and solutions for the platform.
The Mobile SDK are going to be available by at the end of the year 2019, with the redesigned Salesforce Mobile App and and Trailhead Mobile App both launching next year.
The partners also will deliver iOS apps for industries small, medium business which will serve specific customer needs, the joint statement noted.
